"Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Projects
o Represent Vertiv Services in new product development design reviews, product reviews, and phase gate reviews.
o Support regional team members in global product offering projects to ensure regional readiness and launch.
o Collect required gate deliverables to support project readiness and project completion in the new product development process.
o Interface with global engineering and global product management to implement the Global Serviceability Specification in new products.
o Assist in the design and testing of new products to ensure service objects and readiness are completed in new product launches.
o Develop source material for beta training classes.
o Develop maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for the new products
o Attend Beta startups and first article startups.
o Monitor new product quality.
Track initial startups and provide feedback to engineering and product management.
Collect service lessons learned of project to implement into future product changes.
o Provide feedback and document creation on new product development forms,
o Act as the Vertiv Services representative on the engineering change control board for the product you represent.
• Administration
o Submit expense reports, trip reports, and timecards accurately and on time.
o Represent service and present at new products tollgate review meetings and provide updates to management
• Organizational Readiness
o Attend new product and self-development training classes.
o Document new tooling or test equipment requirements.
o Train PTS and first classes of CEs on new products.
o Lead documentation and TKO development for new products.
o Develop startup and PM forms for new products.
o Provide technical guidance to Marketing in development of Scope of Work documents, and new services
o Stay familiar with new products/environments that may affect product operation to include new revisions, updates, upgrades, etc.
Requirements:
• Minimum of four years technical degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent training and experience.
• Minimum of three years of field service and two years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate and present material to Executive Management.
• Possess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Proficient PC skills including all Microsoft Office products and web-based technologies."
