Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing essential support for financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in bookkeeping software, particularly QuickBooks.
Duties
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable management.
- Execute double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of transactions and balances.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
- Manage bank reconciliation processes to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Generate financial reports as needed, providing insights into the company’s financial status.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Construction accounting experience preferred
- 1 to 2 years of QuickBooks experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including debits and credits.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential.
- Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and payroll processing is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
