Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
- Present menus, provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage offerings, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any needs or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of guest information.
- Utilize OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage bookings effectively.
Skills
- Strong background in the restaurant or food service industry, with a focus on fine dining experiences.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while enhancing the overall dining experience for guests.
- Knowledge of culinary terms and food preparation techniques is preferred.
- Experience with bussing duties and maintaining cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in hospitality practices that promote guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Familiarity with reservation systems such as OpenTable is a plus.
