Vestar Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance and will be involved in all aspects of Vestar’s financial operations.

Essential Functions:

• Underwriting new development projects.
• Portfolio level analysis of operational data and market trends.
• Tracking and analysis of the existing asset-level loan portfolio.
• Performing credit reviews on prospective tenants.
• Supporting the loan sourcing, closing, and servicing process.
• Ad hoc analyses related to new or existing shopping center assets.
• Acquisition and disposition support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or CFA preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial due diligence, investment banking, private equity, real estate finance, or related field, preferably with some exposure to the commercial real estate industry.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with advanced Excel skills; experience with ARGUS is desirable.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality; able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to senior management and external stakeholders.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This role will have direct exposure to senior leadership within Vestar and will be located in-person at the Vestar corporate offices in Phoenix, Arizona.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
