The Environmental Manager is responsible for examining, developing and implementing strategies to maintain the company's environmental responsibilities while following the direction of required regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Planning, developing, and implementing environmental strategies and policies throughout the organization
• Evaluating current environmental strategies and adjusting them accordingly
• Monitoring resource use to ensure it complies with waste management and recycling policies
• Analyzing environmental monitoring data and preparing compliance reports
• Providing training to employees to ensure their understanding of environmental policies
• Managing and overseeing the following activities for Vestil and subsidiaries
• Vestil Air Permit FESOP (annual, quarterly, monthly, 60 day observations)
• T & S Air Permit MSOP (annual, monthly, 60 day observations)
• Vesta Air Permit Registration (annual, monthly)
• Vestil Storm-Water (annual, quarterly)
• T & S Wastewater (annual, monthly)
• Recycling (Safety Kleen, Republic Special Profiles)
• Tier II Reporting Annually
• SDS Management (currently JJ Keller)
• Wastewater License minimum ASO
• Smoke School Certification (required every 6 months)

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in environmental management or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management including environmental sector
• Well-Educated on current environmental issues
• In-depth knowledge of provincial or territorial environmental policies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to solve problems efficiently
• Ability to develop innovative project ideas for reducing environmental impact
• Ability to complete assigned projects on time within a designated budget
• Ability to lead a team and designate project tasks effectively
• Ability to analyze data and create reports
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to conduct environmental research and create policies from the research
• Strong public-speaking skills to communicate to groups of people about environmental issues
