Warwick Animal Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island is growing and looking for Veterinarians of all experience levels - both new grads and experienced Veterinarians looking to step into a leadership position! Our team has a unique synergy and we all draw from each others diverse personalities and backgrounds. We treat each case as a team, collaborating across our doctors, techs, and support staff.

The facility was recently renovated and we have a large treatment area where we practice small animal urgent care medicine and preventative care. Our hospital is equipped with the following machines:
Once weekly we are also able to offer cardiology/internal medicine services through our traveling ultrasonographer, Dr. Mark Stamoulis, who provides routine echocardiograms and abdominal ultrasounds for our patients. Warwick is also close to multiple referral centers and specialists for more advanced cases including Ocean State Veterinary Specialists and Mass Rhode Island Emergency Services. In the Warwick area we have a veterinary ophthalmologist, Dr. Binder, as well as a dermal specialist Dr. Tapp for additional support for patients in need of specialty care related the eyes or skin.
Rhode Island, being the smallest state in the country, lends itself to being a tight knit community. We work with Defenders of Animals, Operation Pawsability, the NEADS WorldClass Service Dogs organization, Providence Animal Rescue League. We also commonly examine patients with health concerns who are being housed at the Warwick Animal Shelter and Animal Control. We will also be participating for the second time this fall in the Rhode Island SPCA's annual event "Paws in the Park."
Veterinarians work an average of 34 hours during the typical week, which is divided between morning (8am-4pm) shifts and evening shifts (1pm-9pm or 2pm-9pm). Doctors are required to work two weekend days each month. We do not take calls after hours and doctors can access practice information from home to work remotely if needed. This is a unique opportunity that includes working one day a week at our sister practice.
Warwick is 20 minutes from the state's capital city of Providence. Providence and Newport offer many different cultural flavors to the area with many yearly social events and festivals. In addition to this, we are 40 minutes from the beautiful, preserved coastline and natural areas of Rhode Island that are loved by those who enjoy the outdoors.
