Overview

Immediate Hiring Need for a Controls Technician

Are you a skilled technician experienced in preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of control systems? Join our growing team and work with cutting-edge commercial and industrial equipment. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with exciting building automation technologies in today’s market. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot control system and complete repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions, utilizing extensive knowledge of various electronic or digital control systems
  • Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics
  • Propose field retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment
  • Write modifications in multiple languages of systems software
  • Load and commission system and network-level controllers
  • Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and other trades
  • Consult with customers through data analysis and site assessments
  • Assist sales by offering technical recommendations for leads
  • Document field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections
  • Train customers in control system operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in comfort building automation
  • Experience installing and servicing control systems on HVAC equipment
  • Effective communication skills 
  • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
  • Effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications
  • Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems
  • Not Required But Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:
  • Experience in HVAC systems programming
