Veterans Sourcing Group is Hiring a Business Analyst Near Jersey, NJ
Location - Jersey City NJ
Duration – 6 months contract to hire role (Hybrid)Main Skills: Business Analyst, Business Requirement Documentation, Functional Requirement Documentation, Mapping, Workflow Visualization, User Stories, UAT with knowledge and understanding of banking operations which include: Mortgage, Loans, lending, credit, ACH, Wire transfer etc.Working with an IT development team on a development project for Regulatory reporting. IT knowledgeable but must be able to translate to members of the business operations team
- Could be a possible RTH but not guaranteed

- This role is more Business focused vs Technology
- Will be based in Jersey City but will have to travel to NY possible once a week to meet with the Business units
- Will meet with various Business units to map out Business requirements and provide information to Technology teams
- Mortgage experience is a huge plus , Knowledge of credit, lending, ACH
- Participate in Business Analysis efforts for Bank Operations Division on enterprise initiatives. Gather and draft business requirements, user stories, epics, etc. for projects ensuring that it meets standards and guidelines.
- Management, Leadership, and Personal Skills
- Strong understanding of process flow, systems analysis and design techniques
- Strong Understanding of Bank Procedures & Policies Documentation
- Proficient in operations processes within banking and identifying process improvements
- Strong middle and back-office banking experience
- Knowledge of financial and credit analysis
- Knowledge of Flow Design; Databases and Database Management Tools, Data Mining (Querying) Proficiency
- Skilled in project management techniques and one or more Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies.
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of key Bank Operations functions and the respective IT/business applications supporting these functions.
- Knowledge of relevant languages used within the Bank including procedural, scripted and object-oriented languages (Java, VBA, JavaScript, ASP, SQL and HTML) a plus
- Ability to gather requirements, implement and/or document business and automation solutions based on business requirements.
- Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing methods and practices
- Analyze business processes related to automation initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate potential opportunities to enable the business through the use of technology.
- Define, document and validate business requirements. Review business requirements with internal/vendor programmers and ensure understanding.
- Facilitate and perform analysis of actual versus estimated technology costs.
- Provide the necessary level of project management and control to keep all assigned projects on schedule.
- Provide linkage between business and technology groups through relationship management. Facilitate communication and act as a liaison between Business Operations business units and IT.
- Represent the interest of Business Operations business units in enterprise-wide projects.
- Process and perform day to day transactions/functions as assigned across Bank Operations, including approve/authorizations functions where appropriate or where authority is delegated
- Assist in providing oversight on the adherence to operating procedures, guidelines and internal controls.
- Two plus years related experience including a solid understanding of the Bank's business with a technology focus.
- Managed phases of a small to mid-sized technology or business project
Websphere Portal Administrator experienced with Websphere portal deployments over AWS Cloud over AIX, Linux and Windows for a global insurance company
