Job Description: Veterinary Technicians are the backbone of our veterinary hospital. We respect, train, and provide an independent and gratifying work environment for our veterinary technicians and assistants. With exponential growth, we are looking for an amazing licensed/certified technician that has experience working with an anesthesiologist to grow with us.
Technical skills should include but are not limited to:· Dental Prophylaxis, Probing and Charting (Preferred)· Dental digital radiographs (Preferred)· Anesthesia experience: induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery· Confident in setting up, running, and monitoring anesthesia· Venipuncture and phlebotomy· Administration of Medications PO, SQ, IM, IV· Proficient in medical math· Provide high-quality nursing care to pre-op and post-op patients· Well-developed animal handling and restraint skills· Work directly with owners from check-in to check out· Superb communication skills with both clients and other staff· Must thrive in a team environment· Prepares the treatment area for procedures, including preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies· Proper Use of Laboratory Machines for testing, such as PCV, BG, PT/PTT, In-hospital CBC and Chemistries
Responsibilities:· Utilizing standard office/business equipment.· Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.· Flexible schedule· Experience with veterinary software is preferred.· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.· Possession of organizational skills.· Critical thinking – Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.· Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.· Assist the veterinarians with patient appointments, surgeries, and any other tasks that are needed. We are currently in search of compassionate, critical thinking, career-driven veterinary dental technicians. Candidates should possess the skills necessary to provide quality care to pets, have knowledge in veterinary medicine, and provide outstanding client service.
