## Job Overview
Veterinary Specialty Center of Stillwater is a state-of-the-art veterinary surgical referral center providing advanced surgery for dogs and cats.

We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant with strong communication skills and compassion for animals and their owners. Our veterinary receptionists/assistants will be an integral part of our team.

Shift: Full-time (40 hr /week), Tuesday through Friday (7am-6pm)

Personal Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year working as a receptionist (or equivalent experience). Preferred experience working with animals or in a veterinary hospital
• Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred

- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and pet care techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with animal husbandry practices
- Understanding of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy
- Ability to handle dog interactions safely and confidently

• Basic computer skills including word, google doc and excel
• Experience utilizing an electronic medical record system
• Comfortable with interacting with clients and their pets
• Patient check-in & discharge
• Answering phones
• Able to operate a credit card processing machine
• Perform daily cleaning duties for maintenance of the hospital
• Detail oriented and must be able to multitask in a fast-paced working environment
• High commitment to providing an exceptional client experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be well-spoken, professional, approachable and maintain an optimistic outlook
• Must have good interpersonal relationships and be a team player

Compensation: $17-20/hour
