Overview: The Area Manager of Safety assists the manager with all operations related to the safety and health issues of Associates and Guests. Primary responsibilities are compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. Responsibilities
Maintain the Park's compliance with all OSHA regulations, including record-keeping, fall protection, lock out, ladder safety, hazard communication, respirator safety, confined space, and vehicle safety. Duties in this category include development and implementation of policies and procedures for all areas of workplace safety.
Conduct inspections and audits for compliance with all local, state, and federal fire and safety standards and codes. Results of these activities will be tracked and documented for corrective action recommended and implemented.
Ensure the Park's environmental compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, including submittal of required annual reports. Oversight of environmental compliance includes hazardous waste, air permitting, storm water discharge, and accidental release of hazardous substances.
Develop and conduct training to affected Associates in the areas of confined spaces, fall protection, ladder safety, powered industrial trucks, hazard communication, lockout and respirator safety.
Conduct on-going job safety analysis in the workplace and park areas to establish safe work practices to minimize risks for Associates and Guests.
Directly supervise the seasonal safety intern positions, including scheduling, coordination of daily work activities, and development of educational opportunities.

Bachelor's Degree preferred
FEMA 100 and 700 required
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy. Unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Knowledgeable in the use of cleaning equipment such as carpet extractors and power washers.
Have a basic understanding in the areas of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
