Job Description1st Shift Maintenance Technician- Die Setter is responsible for repairs, troubleshooting as well as changing over machinery and mechanical equipment such as injection molding machines, extruders, auxiliary and assembly equipment. Conducts preventative maintenance tasks to equipment. This position reports into the Maintenance Manager. The shift for this position is 8:00 AM- 5:00 pm and location is Fitchburg, MA, overtime is required based on business needs. Activities May Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Troubleshoot Manufacturing equipment when breakdown and failure occurs.
Install, Maintain, repair and adjust mechanical & electrical systems for production equipment.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of the machinery.
Mold changes and machine setups
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, fittings, and related equipment.
Set up programs and repair automated machinery and equipment i.e robots, autobaggers, packagers, winders and etc
Maintain water, cooling, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment / systems.
Escalate information at shift change, reporting all problems to Team Leader and/or Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.
Document all safety checks (crane, forklift), LOTO and Hot Work Permit
Train other mechanics on proper repair techniques, equipment systems operation and safety.
Complete all other duties or tasks that may be assigned or required of the position.
