Job DescriptionWhat we are looking forAvery Dennison’s North America Operations Early Career Program (OECP) has a single business focus to build talent for our rapidly growing organization. With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning and classroom and virtual training, the OECP serves as the talent pipeline for operations roles throughout the organization.
We are looking for agile problem solvers who enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative manufacturing environment to be our next Operations Associate within controls. Associates receive in-depth exposure to multiple areas/divisions of our business. Our program is flexible and passionate about the development needs of our associates alongside the needs of the business. With a 24-30 month training curriculum that is rooted in our Avery Dennison values, and will guide you on your career path.
This position will start its first rotation in the Mentor, Ohio area, and then will be rotated to any of our sites in the following states, IN, PA, IL, GA or OH.
What You Will Be DoingThe primary roles and responsibilities of this Early Careers Program Associate will be:
We are looking for a motivated Controls Engineer to join our team! As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, specification, development, and implementation of controls systems for various manufacturing equipment.
What You Will Be Doing:Familiarizing yourself with various programming software platforms
Leading/Supporting projects requiring electrical and controls input
Maintaining data acquisition systems
Editing/Creating Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for operators
Assessing aging or obsolete controls equipment and proposing solutions
Reading/Updating electrical schematics
Troubleshooting issues with controls systems
