Job Title: Motion Industries - Shipping Receiving Clerk
Location: Charleston, WV, USA, 25309
Duration: 4 Month of contract
Pay rate: $18/hrShift: 8AM to 5PM

Position Summary:

At Motion Industries, our Shipping/Receiving Clerks are essential members of our team who provide top-tier customer service by managing all shipping and receiving activities for the Shop, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. They also stock inventory and maintain shop cleanliness, playing a crucial role in keeping industry in motion. Responsibilities:

• Pull products allocated to work orders.
• Verify part numbers and quantities for accuracy.
• Package items appropriately for UPS/FedEx transit.
• Follow specific account or shipment instructions to meet customer expectations.
• Complete necessary paperwork per transaction requirements.
• Coordinate with carrier personnel as needed.
• Receive incoming products daily.
• Inspect, review, and verify part numbers and quantities against purchase order documentation.
• Check for any damage and take appropriate action.
• Accurately store products in correct locations.
• Update the computer system to maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Prepare customer returns for shipment.
• Maintain a clean warehouse.
• File paperwork as required.
• Build skids for shipping material.

Qualifications:

• Preferably experienced in a small distribution environment (not automated order picking/packing) as our system is very manual.
• Computer savvy with UPS/FedEx shipping programs and basic experience with Microsoft Office and data entry (e.g., looking up part numbers).
• Good attention to detail, thorough, and organized.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stretch, and stay on their feet and active most of the day.
• Ability to move up to 100 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude and previous exposure to our products is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
