Job Title: Gym Front Desk Representative
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Gym Front Desk Representative. As the first point of contact for our members and visitors, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience at our gym. Your responsibilities will include managing check-ins, handling account updates and sales, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and providing general administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome members and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Manage the check-in process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist members with account updates, such as membership changes, personal information updates, and billing inquiries.
- Provide information about gym facilities, programs, and services to prospective and current members.
- Promote and sell memberships, personal training packages, and other gym-related products/services.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including disinfecting surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Resolve member complaints or concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Coordinate schedules and appointments for personal training sessions and group classes.
- Assist in organizing and promoting special events and promotional activities.
- Stay updated on gym policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive member experience.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a gym or fitness-related environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and seize sales opportunities.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with gym management software or CRM systems.
- Knowledge of fitness equipment and training techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate gym schedules.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting or moving of equipment when necessary.
