VGM Group, Inc is Hiring an Operations Manager - Accounts Payable Near Waterloo, IA

We are looking to add an Operations Manager to our growing team. The Operations Manager will oversee day to day department activities and ensure efficient operations for their assigned department. As a key leader of HOMELINK, the manager will serve as a company representative on regulatory issues and work to find opportunities to expand systems, and enhance operational procedures, systems, and principles. The overall goal of the operations manager is to strategize vision for process improvements and development expanding upon existing business and growth for HOMELINK.
Key to success is worker's compensation industry knowledge and DME revenue cycle experience.
Reporting Accountability: Director of Operations, VGM HOMELINK
Working Location: Open to hybrid, remote, or completely onsite in Waterloo, IA
Work Hours Classification: Full-time, Monday-Friday with additional hours as needed to support business success
Responsibilities Of The Operations Manager
  • Provide inspired leadership throughout the organization and contribute recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
  • Achieve employee retention results by interviewing qualified staff and communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring results, and coaching and developing employees
  • Motivate employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives and addressing employee performance and corrective action plans
  • Assist associates with questions and/or concerns, interact with and develop staff on a regular basis promoting a safe, secure, and collaborative work environment and addressing personnel concerns timely
  • Assist in the analysis of the staffing within the Accounts Payable team
  • Provide action plans and recommendations for aged client accounts
  • Work in partnership with other leaders and coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities
  • Report to Management on progress of annual department improvement plans, short and long-term goals
  • Communicate customer service issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints while reducing the number of quality issues that are related to internal errors
  • Challenge the process and systems in place to ensure ongoing efficiency and profitability
  • Organize and hold productive meetings with staff on a routine basis, such as one-on-ones and team meetings
  • Follows strict confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security guidelines
Position QualificationsEducation/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience with 3 years leadership experience
  • Minimum of 2 years revenue cycle management responsibilities
  • Minimum of 2 years accounts payable management experience
  • Must comply with continuing education per company, regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements’
Skills and competencies
  • Able to multitask between emails, meetings, telephone calls, faxes and answering questions from associates
  • Continuing education on services and products by attending in-services and CEU classes as required and appropriate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing regulatory requirements
  • Able to work with and direct and coach staff as required
  • Knowledge of various healthcare industry billing and/or coding terminologies such as ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT, modifiers, and various Medicare NCD’s and LCD’s
Physical Requirements
  • Working at a physical desk, moving about the office and facility as needed for work
  • Operation of office machinery and equipment
  • Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision, and peripheral vision
