DO YOU ENJOY WELCOMING PEOPLE AS THEY ARRIVE "HOME" FOR THEIR VACATION? Our Ocean Shores Resort is looking for a Full-Time Front Desk Agent with weekday, weekend & holiday availability who can work day and swing shifts to greet our guests as they arrive for their stay at our resort.

Position Overview

** Availability required for After Hours Calls. **

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for owners and guests, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter our premises. The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation and contributes to the overall success of our resort.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome owners, guests and employees with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Efficiently manage the guest registration process, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience for all owners and guests.
  • Utilize computer systems to accurately input guest information, update reservations, and generate room keys.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate person or department.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to inquiries about our services, policies, and general company information.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Maintain service request database.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards when handling sensitive information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of resort services, amenities, and local attractions to effectively assist guests with their needs.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are clean, properly stocked, and in good working condition prior to guest arrivals.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest requests and special accommodations are properly communicated and fulfilled.
  • Direct and encourage owners and guests to complete a YOC (Your Opinion Counts) Survey.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in customer service, administrative or a front desk role is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and after hours.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math, inventory, and cash handling skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with owners and staff members.

Physical Demands of the Position

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or occasionally lift 10 – 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
