Via is hiring a Workshop Instructor/LANTa Driver. As a Workshop Instructor you will provide employment training and support to individuals with disabilities in a production environment. As a LANTa driver you will provide afternoon transportation to Via participants at our Workshop or Cigars International site. 

Via is now offering an increased pay rate of $17-$18/hour determined by education level and driving time with participants will be paid at your overtime rate.Additionally, earn up to $1.75 more per hour by completing all three levels of the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) Career Ladder Program.

You will ENJOY the following when working at VIA:

  • Full-Time Monday through Friday schedule 8am-4pm as an Instructor and 4pm-5pm as a LANTa Driver. Weekends OFF!

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide employment training and support to individuals with disabilities in a production environment.
  • Utilize job coaching strategies to instruct participants on proper work habits and help create work skills that will produce high levels of quality work.
  • In some cases, you have an opportunity to provide community-based services.
  • Daily transportation routes can range anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours a day depending on traffic. Drivers are paid from the time they depart from their location to the time the driver returns home, or the vehicle is returned to VIA. Afternoon shifts are only available at this time. 

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver’s license, personal vehicle and appropriate insurance is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and transfer participants is required.
  • Drivers will receive a LANta issued tablet where drop-off information is documented. 
  • Initial drug screening is required. Via driver's will be entered into LANta's pool of more than 100 drivers for random drug testing.
