Viaero Wireless is Hiring a Fiber Permitting Manager Near Fort Morgan, CO

Viaero Fiber Networks is continually expanding our fiber network footprint and is looking for a Permitting Manager to work throughout all facets of permits, easements, and agreements. General duties will consist of closely working with design engineers, architectural firms, and network construction and operations teams, in order to ensure timely submittal and receipt of all necessary construction permits, easements, and agreements. This individual will be responsible for tracking of multiple concurrent permit and agreement submittals, check and purchase order submittals, construction schedule tracking, and other tasks as needed. Ideal candidates will be self-starters, solution-focused, cost conscious, organized, proactive, and able to handle fast-paced work environment. The permitting manager works onsite and can be based in one of two locations (Fort Morgan, Colorado OR Grand Island, Nebraska).
Responsibilities
  • Research, review and compile Permit, Easement and Agreement documents based on network route designs.
  • Work with multiple different facets of Architects, Engineers, and Customers.
  • Review project drawings and work with engineering and design teams to acquire correct design documentation for submittal.
  • Submit, manage, and track all permits and agreements throughout the course of submittal and the construction buildout.
  • Research to determine permit types and correct municipalities and entities required for submittal for each project.
  • Request Purchase Order and Check request as needed.
  • Communicate with Construction teams in forecasting permit timelines and relay those that impact delays.
  • Update network databases documents and statuses.
  • Manage and coordinate the routine tracking of the project with external agencies.
  • Coordinate with jurisdictions, municipalities and entities on projects effecting existing network locations.
  • Utilize knowledge and capabilities in coordinating and tracking surveying and required surveys.
  • Periodic day travel in company provided vehicle up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications
  • 1 - 3 years: Experience working in a utility/residential/commercial construction permitting role preferred
  • Experience with State, County or City permitting processing and filing strongly preferred
  • Education and/or experience with project coordination and business
  • Experience with a database tracking timelines and deliverables preferred
  • Experience working in a construction back-office environment preferred
  • Intermediate or Advanced skill with MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Proficient with Google and other relevant programs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend resolutions
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to conduct technical driven research within multiple deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to realize and resolve difficult inquiries or issues relative to assigned work by asking questions and inquiring amongst the team
  • Ability to ensure timely processing of applications and deliverables
  • Able to have a strong working knowledge of multiple complex projects congruently
  • Proven decision-making skills and the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and/or environments if necessary
Must be able to pass all pre-employment checks, which include drug screen, background check and motor vehicle record check. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and have at least a high school diploma or GED.
