Vie-Del is a major producer of concentrates from grapes and other fruits, brandy, spirits, and wines. We are currently seeking talented candidates to join the Vie-Del Family. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefit package in an employee friendly and rewarding environment.
Duties:
1. Greet visitors and employment applicants
2. Answer telephones in Human Resources Department
3. Receive and review applications for completeness
4. Schedule math comprehension tests
5. Verify all applicants have a valid driver’s license
6. Notify applicants by phone of appointment for interview
7. Document all reference checking
8. Set up appointments for drug screens
9. Prepare orientation and safety training manuals
10. Schedule applicants for orientation
11. Maintain weekly rate sheets report logs and enter them in payroll system
12. Check attendance phone line daily
13. Verify sick/vacation slips for union employees
14. Solicit and review resumes, refer to managers. Screen applications for completeness
15. Administer and score aptitude tests.
16. Evaluate candidates’ strengths compared with job description
17. Conduct necessary pre-employment processes including requesting references from present or past employers
and requesting background search.
18. Track days worked during probationary period. Notify manager and supervisor of seniority status.
19. Interact and communicate with individuals at all levels
20. Have a desire to learn and advance in a fast-paced environment, and be capable of regularly using independent
judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements
21. Demonstrate poise, tactfulness, diplomacy, and good interpersonal skills in order to handle confidential
situations.

23. Other duties as assigned by Human Resources Department, and/or other management.
QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. AA Degree or equivalent preferred and/or two years related
experience. Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer applications desirable.
2. English Language Skills:
Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of employees of organization. Ability to effectively present information, both verbally and in writing.
3. Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and
percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
4. Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
5. Other Requirements:
Intermediate or higher level of experience with word processing and spreadsheet applications. Intermediate or
higher level of experience with Internet search engines. Basic or higher level of experience with database
management applications. Typing speed of 40 words per minute or more and ten-key by touch.
