Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include reconciliations of account balances, performance of various operational accounting tasks, and preparation of workpapers to support closing processes.
• Assists with accounts receivable and payable processing, journal entry support, and compiles support for various tax filings as required by different tax jurisdictions.
• Analyzes accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to the standards defined within the department.
• Provides sample support for the annual audit and quarterly financial statement reviews.
• Protects organization's value by maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• Executes special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, majoring in accounting
• Junior or Senior level college ranking (preferred, but not necessary)
• Must be skilled in use of Excel
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Must possess excellent work habits and dependability
• Must be able to work a minimum of 10-15 hour per week (subject to change)

Working Conditions

• This position will work in an office environment.
