Summary: As a Staff Accountant at Viewrail, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our manufacturing company. Working closely with the accounting team, you will be responsible for various accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Job duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Responsibilities:

• Cross train with A/P
  • Prepare freight bills
  • Employee reimbursements
  • Process vendor invoices
  • File packing slips
• Cross train with A/R
  • Upload payments/revenue
  • Process refunds
  • Process payments
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment.
  • Respond to email requests
• Work with team members on Month End Procedures
• Assist in the compilation of monthly financial statements
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
• Build custom reporting inside NetSuite for accurate reporting
• Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger by recording and reconciling financial transactions.
• Protect our organization's values by keeping information confidential
• Work on special projects related to accounting, finance and product pricing
• Other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Proven work experience in accounting or finance roles
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practice (GAAP)
• Basic understanding of Google Sheets, Google Docs and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
