Viking Fence Co. Ltd is Hiring a DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES Near Austin, TX

Human Resources Director is a high visibility, high-impact role responsible for providing the full range of daily and project HR support for the Viking teams. The HR Director reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The Director will direct and coordinate all human resources activities including staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, compliance, and payroll companywide.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Partner with the Viking leadership team to establish and implement comprehensive workforce strategies in support of Viking’s business objectives, including workforce planning, employee engagement, employee training & development & performance management.
  • Recruitment & New Hire Activities: Provide support for all staffing requirements including posting positions, reviewing resumes, screening candidates, preparing offer letters, and administering new hire orientation.
  • HRIS: Lead the efforts to improve workforce productivity by optimizing the use of our HRIS platform.
  • Engagement: Coach and support managers in building a positive culture and hiring, retaining, and engaging a strong team.
  • Training: Develop and conduct effective training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge on job specific functions, company policies, and other issues as they arise.
  • Talent Management: Drive talent management by administering regular performance reviews, addressing employee issues, facilitating performance improvement plans, rewarding high performers, conducting investigations, exiting poor performers, and identifying potential leaders.
  • Compliance: Develop and administer HR policies, practices, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable US laws and regulations. Manage leaves of absence, workers comp claims and unemployment cases.
  • Compensation: Develop and maintain job titles, job descriptions, career progression plans and wage ranges and administer wage review processes.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Supervise payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payrolls, well managed employee health and welfare and retirement benefits, and effectively administered leaves of absence, workers comp claims and unemployment cases.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and guidance to HR department staff, currently consisting of one HR Generalist.
  • Lead the integration of newly acquired companies from an HR perspective, ensuring seamless transition and alignment of policies, culture and workforce management practices.
  • Serve as an example of Viking’s core values for other leaders and staff within the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
