Plan, implement, and promote activities to enhance quality of life for all residents. Facilitates Community involvement through volunteerism.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Must be 21 years of age.

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff.

Ability to work in a team setting and be a team player.

Commitment and respect for all individuals.

Ability to keep all business and operations information confidential.

Possess organizational skills.

Possess excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work under time constraints and meet department deadlines.

Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures and standards.

Schedule and participate in minimum of 2 resident outings per month.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete activities-related evaluations on new residents including Activities Evaluation and Social/Spiritual Data..

Coordinate monthly Resident Management meetings, report to the Management Team your weekly and monthly budget.

Consults residents on a regular basis, both individually and in resident group meetings to ascertain activity preferences

Activity calendar, monthly newsletter should be completed early enough to be approved by the Management team

Prepares and distributes monthly activities calendar. Use plain paper with color, larger text and format to daily columns

Add new pictures weekly and monthly to calendar.

Manage community Facebook page and to Facebook posts.

Work with Resident Relations manager on all social media

Plan and implement activities of sufficient variety and at sufficient frequency, including as necessary to fulfill any state regulations with activity categories to include but not be limited to physical, intellectual, creative, recreational, social, and spiritual.

Inform residents of daily activities using announcement board.

Invite residents to activities; assures they are reminded of and escorted to activities as necessary.

Lead activities as necessary including fitness, exercise classes, and assist with proper use of fitness equipment. Promptly report any apparent problems with fitness equipment to Manager or Supervisor

Plan exercise classes 5 days a week

Assures that activities are offered as scheduled or if cancelled that appropriate alternatives are offered

Facilitates socialization among residents

Plans, coordinates and assists with decoration of community routinely as well as for special events, holidays, and seasons including the bulletin boards

Coordinate with Executive Chef regarding decorations for holidays. (Table decorations etc.

Decorate for all holidays through the year and put decorations after each event, in storage labeling for easy access

Assures activity room and any activity supply storage areas are clean and organized

Cover for receptionists breaks and meal times

Recruit vendors to perform activities. (They should provide all needed items for activity event)

OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all work assigned for the agreed-upon salary, accepting no additional payment or non-perishable gifts from residents, vendors, Community Management, or others.

Meet the assigned work requirements of the job.

Regular attendance is required.

Serve as a role model for all employees by displaying a responsible, cooperative, and positive attitude.

Represent the community in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.

Adhere to dress/appearance code

Changes in attire may be dictated by special occasion or weather conditions. If you have questions, check with your supervisor.

Adhere to company policies.

Promote resident advocacy and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.

Maintain personnel, resident and business proprietary and/or confidential matters/material in strict confidence with management of the company (and/or other company staff as needed).
