Village at Belmar is Hiring a Line Cook - Part Time Near Lakewood, CO

Description

Village at Belmar, Lakewood's premier senior living community, is seeking a line cook to work in our on-site from scratch kitchens. You will be responsible for prepping and cooking made to order meals for residents and guests. We are looking for someone to be part of a dynamic culinary team and play a critical role in helping us take our culinary program to the next level. This is a part-time position, working three days a week. Must have one weekend day available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all food according to the menu under the direction of the Executive Chef
  • Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes
  • Communicates frequently and professionally with other line cooks, chef, managers, and front of house team members
  • Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards
  • Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated

Qualifications:

  • Prior kitchen experience
  • Requires knowledge of special diets
  • Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed

Pay:

$18.50-$20.00 an hour, based on experience
