Job DescriptionTITLE: Registered Nurse
LOCATION: Ann Arbor & Flint
SUPERVISOR: Director of Nursing and Patient Care
FLSA: Full-time, 37.5 hours/ week

SCHEDULE: Monday- Wednesday, approximately 8:45a-5pm, Thursday and Friday approximately 7:45-4pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current MI license and CPR certifications
  • Candidates with any level of RN experience are encouraged to apply
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Consistently demonstrate appropriate service behaviors in interactions with patients and colleagues
  • Actively contribute to an inclusive workplace culture by working collaboratively as a valued member of the care team
  • Proactively work to resolve conflict and perform service recovery, as needed
  • Provides pre-abortion education and counseling including review of medical records and post-procedure contraceptive method options.
  • Assists physician and patient during abortion procedure and ensures a safe and aseptic environment is maintained.
  • Start IVs and administer intravenous solutions and IV medications.
  • Manages care for patients in recovery room following abortion procedure, including assessing condition, monitoring vital signs and initiating emergency protocols as necessary.
  • Coordinates patient discharge and scheduling follow up visits and provides information and education to patients on their post-abortion care
  • Carries out clinician orders for dispensing contraceptive supplies and assuring compliance with pharmacy standards.
  • After appropriate training and sign-off, provides ultrasound services and participates centralized follow up activities
  • Assists in the delivery and coordination of quality healthcare to valued patients.
