As a Closing Store Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless closing of our store each day. Your key responsibilities will include supervising staff, managing cash registers, securing the premises, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. Your leadership will ensure our store is ready for success the next business day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of associates, providing coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
• Complete assigned tasks via task management systems promptly.
• Implement and uphold company standards across all departments.
• Ensure efficient store operations, meeting sales targets and customer service standards.
• Execute and enforce policies related to financial, inventory management, merchandising, safety, security, and compliance.
• Foster a safety culture for all customers and associates.
• Secure the store by locking doors, activating security systems, and conducting a final walkthrough.
• Conduct quick inventory checks and maintain product organization.
• Oversee store cleanliness, ensuring displays and common areas are tidy.
• Address last-minute customer inquiries and ensure all employees complete their tasks before clocking out.
• Provide a nightly report to the store manager or owner and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a managerial role within the retail industry.
• Proven track record of effective staff management and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with inventory management and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in grocery retail is preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to providing a positive shopping experience.
