Day to day as a Quality of Care SpecialistAs a Quality of Care Specialist at VillageCare, you will play a crucial role in investigating and resolving grievances that impact the well-being of VillageCareMAX members. Your responsibilities will include gathering evidence, requesting corrective actions from providers, reporting to quality committees and regulatory authorities, and implementing structured processes to address quality of care concerns. You will track and trend critical incidents, collaborate with clinical leadership, and identify educational needs for staff based on issues identified. Additionally, you will participate in quality committees, projects, and improvement studies, prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You Need To Be SuccessfulTo succeed as a Quality of Care Specialist at VillageCare, candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and have advanced knowledge of principles and practices within grievance and appeals or quality care. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a managed care setting, with MLTC experience preferred, is required. Candidates should be able to work independently with a high level of productivity and demonstrate advanced written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications is essential. Additionally, candidates must hold a current New York State RN license and registration.
