As part of our growth, we are excited to expand our team and are currently seeking a part-time Fashion Design Intern to join us.

Role Description:

This is a dynamic and hands-on role for a Fashion Design Intern to join our team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our design team, assisting in the development and execution of our next fashion collection. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and contribute to exciting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the ideation, design, and development of new fashion designs, including sketching, fabric selection, assembling tech packs, and garment construction.
• Support the design team with trend research, mood boards, and concept development.
• Participate in fittings, sample reviews, and adjustments to ensure premium product offering.
• Collaborate with other departments such as marketing and administrative to ensure cohesive brand representation.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion/Apparel Design or a related field.
• Strong skills in sketching, illustration, and garment construction.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of fabric types, garment construction techniques, and fashion trends.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, creative, and eager to learn.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time internship commitment requiring 10-15 hours per week from August to December. Please note that this is an unpaid opportunity; however, a stipend can be provided for professional development.
