The Logistics Analyst will be an essential position that will support both the transportation and distribution components of the operations team.Based on the day to day responsibilities the operations team is required to solve for and communicate across various business channels, this position will allow the team to balance the workload while providing a dedicated resource that can support these needs daily without delay, as well as providing the team & business a consistent point of contact.Additionally, knowing that the responsibilities outlined in the job description are fragmented across the department (warehouse ops, transportation, etc.), it will allow for a more tactful and seamless approach and execution of the tasks.Currently these tasks are often constrained by bandwidth issues, and handled based on availability and the level of urgency.This resource will help to provide for a better customer and business experience. The overarching goal is to facilitate streamlined communication between the vineyard vines corporate, retail, outlet and warehouse teams, while leveraging systems and process improvement to conduct business more efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
The individual will lead efforts to work with cross-functional teams to ensure all domestic production is tracked and delivered to the distribution center on time and to spearhead communication for past due receipts that may otherwise need to be escalated to necessary parties, in an effort to maintain the necessary data integrity to support the business.
They will assist in the coordination of all retail and outlet store shipments to make sure all stores and transportation providers are properly aligned on delivery timing, requirements, etc.They will work with third party transportation providers and retail operations team to maintain vendor scorecards to ensure SLA’s are met and manage exceptions as needed.
