Job Description

Schedule : Monday - Friday 9am to 5 pm

Salary : $55,000 / year

The Quality Improvement Specialist will work to facilitate continuous quality improvement throughout Vinfen's Behavioral Health and Integrated Care Divisions.

Working under the direction of the Director of Quality for the divisions, the Quality Improvement Specialist will ensure quality of services by assisting in the development of quality improvement plans, tracking progress, and providing teams with the tools needed to perform to appropriate standards and follow all regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.

The Quality Improvement Specialist has a range of duties including :

Consult with programs and management around quality issues. Provide suggestions for improvement. Conduct on-site visits, as necessary.

Facilitate the implementation of cluster Quality Improvement Teams, when needed.

Monitor, review, and audit program records and systems. Audit specific services for fidelity to standards. Maintain and track areas in needs of improvement for year-to-year comparisons.

Conduct data analysis, as needed. Provide consultation to programs and management on systems improvement and data interpretation.

Track and monitor complaints and investigations. Act as human rights liaison to programs and regulatory departments. Ensure quality of documentation of incident and internal reviews and investigations.

Consult on issues related to reviews and investigations. Conduct investigations.

Assist in the review, revision, and distribution of the Operations Policy and Procedures. Assist in the review and posting of Agency Policy and Procedures.

Develop and maintain the OARS user manual.

  • Assist the Agency in CARF accreditation preparation and state licensing and certification Track and monitor MAP program registration, program licenses, and deficiency statements
  • Attend other department meetings, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years' experience in in human services or quality improvement required
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement procedures and practices
  • Proficient in use of personal computer applications and equipment
  • Prior experience with using data applications
  • Prior knowledge of statistics and research techniques
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, employment verification check, reference check and education check

Vaccine Mandate Policy

All new employees, interns, and volunteers within Vinfen's Massachusetts programs will be required to be fully vaccinated (14 days beyond last shot of Pfizer or Moderna or 14 days beyond receiving a Johnson and Johnson vaccine), or have received the first shot in a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) with an appointment scheduled for the second dose.

A 2nd dose must be received within six weeks of hire and the first shot prior to New Employee Orientation or have an approved exemption for medical or religious reasons by the first day of employment with Vinfen.
