Our client is a member owned distribution entity for crop protection products in the United States. Prideful in their unmatched service, innovative products and agronomic knowledge.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Understand the process to allocate and distribute member earnings
- Using a variety of reporting functions internal and external to the accounting software system maintain on going reports necessary to allocate earnings to the membership
- Distribute member earnings as required
- Provide membership with detailed information pertaining to their specific earnings based on each member’s particular need
- Prepare monthly and annual reports detailing the financial activity of the organization
- Present financial data to management and directors on a continual basis keeping them appraised of status
- Coordinate and oversee the annual year end audit by outside auditors
- Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets
- Develop and maintain banking relationships
- Monitor cash flow requirements / treasury functions
- Supervise and oversee the A/R, A/P, Customer Service administrative personnel
- Monitor and implement payroll, benefits, and human resources functions
- Insure viability of office and office equipment
- Validate accuracy of supplier/product rebate payments
- Work with President and Vice President(s) to collect and assimilate complete understanding of supplier/product rebate programs
- Collecting, assimilate, and maintain secondary verification of member purchasing including but not limited to working with submitted sales data / sales data database
- Maintain and appropriately distribute as required net billing pricing and costing information to members, managers, and employees
- Ad hoc project analysis as required by management, membership and/or suppliers.
Education:
- BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 7 years’ experience in a financial accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of Excel including macros and pivot tables, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fundamental knowledge of Sage 100 Preferred
- Information technology systems experience is helpful
