VIR Consultant is Hiring a Junior Construction Field Representative (Quality Control) Near Batavia, OH
SummaryThe Quality Control Field Representative contractor will provide Nestle Purina with onsite professional services, including providing engineering inspection and control to support quality workmanship, safe environment, job project staffing, schedule adherence, QA/QC activities and follow up action items. The Quality Control Field Representative will provide daily and weekly reports to the Site Management Team. Job Responsibilities
Work closely with Engineering, Construction, Fabrication, and SHE (Safety/Health/Environmental) departments to ensure the QMS is fully implemented and organized for all disciplines - structural, mechanical, electrical and process systems.
Support hold-point releases once all QMS functions have been completed and the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage.
Support the development of risk-based inspection (RBI) activities and processes.
Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.
Develop and manage non-conformance, deficiencies, and reporting programs, including root cause analysis
Ensure correct codes, standards, job specifications, project procedures are identified, correctly specified in detail, and met or exceeded.
Oversee QA/QC checks in specific work areas as assigned
Ensure QA/QC and non-conformance processes are being properly documented, and corrected/mitigated
Ensure subcontractors weekly quality control inspection reports are completed - inclusive of weekly tests and inspection on key areas
Set and drive a culture of safety, communication, teamwork and accountability
Be in the field supporting all aspects of project execution based on daily schedule and look-ahead schedule to mitigate risk, hold contractors accountable to Nestle installation quality and workmanship.
Ensure a safe working environment based on Nestle H&S specifications
Adherence to Nestles safety protocols
Weekly job meetings with published notes
Punchlist Focus for plant, contractor, engineering
Education
OHSA 30; CPR Training; Fall Protection is a plus
Experience
Some technical experience like pipe fitting, mechanical, electrical, construction projects is required
Industrial services technician background or similar
Skills
Minimum of 3 years software applications experience: MS Office 365 including Teams, SharePoint; BIM360
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Requires daily walking through a construction site
Steel toe shoes are required, and to be provided by the worker at own expense (job requirement)
