VIR Consultant is Hiring a MRI Technician Near White Plains, NY
Location White Plains, NYEssential Functions And Responsibilities Includes The Following
- Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors
- Prepares and positions patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different
and required body part questionnaires
- Assumes responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures and produces good
test ordered
- Assists physicians during procedures as necessary
- Performs quality assurance and calibrations as needed
- Will be required to work in case of emergency procedures or when situations arise in
- Maintains the cleanliness of all areas, equipment and accessories. Reports all
- Prints patient CD if needed
- Performs routine office duties, such as answering the phones, checking previous
systems
- Notifies front desk staff upon exam completion
- Shows radiologist images and calls report to attending physician and documents
- May be assigned as instructor or preceptor
- Introduces themselves and educates each patient or family member regarding the
- Should be knowledgeable and skillful in providing care, based on age, physical and
groups.
- Attends staff meetings and in-services
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
- Must graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital based program.
(ARRT), ARMRIT becomes ARRT MR certified within 1 year of hire date.
- Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth
depending on the year of birth.
- BLS certification through the (AHA) American Heart Association is required or must be
- IV certification preferred or by completion of 6 month orientation.
- MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly

- Must be able to observe and inspect employees and patients in all of the MRI zones
- Frequently move and position patients for MRI exams
- May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous
