VIR Consultant is Hiring a Senior Production Planner Near Waukesha, WI
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Optimize production planning throughout the organization leveraging SAP toolset to drive business systematically while increasing factory throughput
- Identify and exploit capacity constraints to the Manufacturing and Production team to work on synchronizing and elevating the performance of the constraint
- Maintain appropriate buffers to account for variability and machine capacity
- Generate monthly reports and track metrics for key business performance indicators relating to manufacturing process execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve strategies and processes that drive on-time delivery and cycle time reduction
- Follows and revises procedures required to support of the operation execution process and scheduling applications
- Participate as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions, including transformation planning and financial target setting to meet department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash objectives.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- SAP scheduling functionality
- Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and projects
- Working knowledge of Kanban pull replenishment systems
- Experience in production planning / level scheduling in a highly complex low volume / high mix manufacturing environment
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of lean principles and processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to analyze data and trends to result in action
- Knowledge of processes, tools and operations considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
- Strong analytical skills and financial understanding
- BS / BA degree in materials supply chain management, engineering, business or similar field
- 5-8 Years in Field
- Six Sigma Certification
- APICS Certification
- ERP/MRP User (SAP)
- BI Analytics (Qlik)
Physical DemandsMust be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
Working ConditionsShop-floor and office environment, located on large manufacturing campus
