RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on the wireless front of the next generation Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality VR/AR end-to-end system which has the potential to unlock the Metaverse revolution.
• Test and evaluate innovative mmWave technologies in both controlled wireless environments and real-world conditions. This will include setting-up lab/field end-to-end systems to enable full functionalities and ensure satisfactory system performance.
• Design test plans, scenarios, procedures, and scripts for evaluating wireless system performance and end-to-end troubleshooting.
• Characterize system performance and stability by testing in both lab and field along with generating and presenting detailed test reports to customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Three years of experience in wireless systems integration and test engineering. Employer will accept pre- and post-Master’s degree experience. All experience must be post-Bachelor’s degree.
• Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive experience in wireless systems integration and test engineering in lieu of a Master’s degree and three years of experience.
• Work experience to include: 1. Working with mmWave radio frequency (RF) characteristics. 2. Working with networking concepts and protocols including Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), ping, or Address Resolution Protocol (ARP). 3. Using iPerf and Wireshark. 4. Using Windows and Linux Operating Systems. 5. Using Python for test automation and data processing. 6. Working with 5G New Radio (NR) (to include non-standalone (NSA) or standalone (SA)) and LTE protocol stacks including physical (PHY), medium access control (MAC), radio link control (RLC), packet data convergence protocol (PDCP), radio resource control (RRC), and upper layers. 7. 5G mmWave network simulation and optimization.
• Position requires 5% domestic travel; expenses paid by employer.
• 40 hours per week.
• Salary: $157,331.00 to $175,000.00 per year.
