The Director of Culture and Belonging is primarily responsible for leading the implementation of VMRC’s diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging strategy and developing DEIA&B goals and objectives, including the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce. The Director of Culture and Belonging will serve as a catalyst to leverage best practices, promote a culture of awareness, sensitivity, support, and inclusivity, and cultivate strong relationships with staff, residents, and the broader community. In this role, the Director of Culture and Belonging will lead the culture and belonging committees and the executive team to ensure alignment between business practices and DEIA&B goals and objectives. Responsibilities include providing year-round education and training to hiring managers and team members on strategies regarding diversity and inclusion, including advocacy and well-implemented recruitment programs.
This position will:
? Provide guidance as a subject matter expert and design, develop, and implement strategic training programs focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging.
? Develop DEIA&B goals and participate in recruitment and social events to represent VMRC within the broader community.
Develop social media strategies and employer and resident branding to position VMRC as an employer of choice and utilize new technologies as appropriate.
NOTE: This position requires someone who can roll up their sleeves, is highly strategic, has strong leadership and project management skills, is a great collaborator, and can effectively take the LEAD and DRIVE key DEI initiatives forward.
