Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Coordinator. As an Insurance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and maintaining patient records. This position requires knowledge of managed care, coding, medical terminology, and insurance verification. Experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.

Duties:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide explanations of benefits

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical billing or coding is a plus
- Proven experience working with insurance companies and knowledge of insurance verification processes
- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
