Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for general repairs of apartments that are owned and operated by the hiring company. The individual should be a good communicator and be able to correspond regarding any tasks or issues daily. We are open to hiring one to two individuals to join our team. The individual may also learn about the day-to-day operation of owning and buying an apartment building. Significant career advancement available!

Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, spackle and sand, painting, carpentry work, and electrical or plumbing fixture repair or replacement at various properties owned and operated by the employer company.
- Maintain text communication with the team regarding tasks or issues that may come up day to day.
- Perform routine inspections and take photos of any issues.
- Interact daily with a team, and occasionally oversee contractors when third-party repairs/replacement is necessary.
- Maintain a clean exterior and common area of the apartments.

- Make occasional trips to hardware supply stores to purchase necessary materials for a given job (supplies paid for by employer).

Qualifications
- Experience of all levels considered. Pay will be commensurate with experience. If less experienced, technician should show a willingness to learn with a team member and be organized. If more experienced, technician should be able to handle repairs alone or with an assistant, and be a strong communicator. Skills of the experienced technician are below:
- Strong knowledge of electrical and plumbing with the ability to troubleshoot and repair fixtures.
- General knowledge of inner systems of apartment buildings, from framing to mechanical systems to roofs. Employer contracts electricians and plumbers when extensive jobs are needed, but experienced candidate should have a general knowledge of systems.
- Ability to correspond with tenants and staff through text message and photos of repairs or issues.

- Technician should have his/her own car or pick-up truck.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
