Virtek Vision USA Inc. provide sales, installation and technical support for our customers located in the U.S.A. The Role: Our Applications Engineers are technically driven and industry experts that our customers trust to help them design and optimize their production processes. This role is primarily pre-sales, assisting the sales team win deals by building strong relationships with our customers by presenting meaningful technical information in a clear, concise, and easy to understand manner. In this role you will become an expert in Virtek’s Laser Projection, Inspection, and Ai and Machine Vision Technologies. Travel requirement of up to 50% within North America, some international travel may be required. When not travelling this position will be a remote/home based position. Responsibilities:
Work with the leading manufactures in Aerospace, Pre-Fabricated Construction, Metal Fabrication, Wind Energy, and other industries to identify and qualify applications for Laser Projection and Machine Vision Inspection
Create 3D CAD layouts and technical proposals that show how Virtek’s solutions are best applied in customer’s work cells
Provide demonstrations of our products and present Virtek’s value propositions at tradeshows and during customer site visits
Be aware of competitive technologies and how to position products and services against them
Work with our Innovation Lab, R&D, and Product Management teams to provide customer driven feedback that will influence the product roadmap
Support Marketing with the creation of product videos, data sheets, and other collateral
Support the Alpha and Beta testing cycles of new product developments, focused on the application requirements and customer experience
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
University Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, or equivalent
Strong technical aptitude across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing disciplines
Extensive experience with 3D CAD programs, such as SolidWorks
Software programing and scripting experience
Previous Machine Vision or Laser Projection Experience is an asset
Excellent interpersonal, verbal / written communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Ability to lift approx. 50 pounds
