Job Information:

Virtua Anesthesia is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their patient focused Pre-Admission Testing team (PAT).

• The position schedule is full time weekdays.

• There a no nights or call requirements. Working weekends is optional with additional compensation outside of regular pay.

• Candidates must have electronic medical record charting experience. Comfort with EPIC is ideal.

• Chart review would be for Virtua hospitals: Mt Holly, Virtua Willingboro and Mt Holly Ambulatory Center.

Position Responsibilities:

• The APP will collaborate with PAT leadership, staff, anesthesia, surgeons, and hospital and office staff to efficiently optimize patients for surgery.

• Accurately identifies patient optimization prior to surgery/anesthesia.

• Interprets test results including labs, X-rays, and complete documentation

• Synthesizes information accurately from physical exam (if applicable), test results, written forms, EMR and patient verbal report

• Integrates the patient’s past medical history and past surgical history into decision making regarding anesthesia treatments

• Initiates appropriate specialty consultation referrals when required

Qualifications:

• Graduation from accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program.

• PA: NCCPA Certification and Physician Assistant license issued by the State of New Jersey

• NP: CRNP or APN certification through an accredited body, RNFA certification and advanced practice license with prescriptive authority through the NJ State Board of nursing.

• Prefer applicants with minimum of 1-year recent perioperative experience

• Applicants with previous experience in PACU, Pre-Op, or Surgery are encouraged to apply.

• Advanced EPIC experience

• BLS Certification

• Valid Driver’s License
