Since its inception in 1996, VE has served more than 200,000 high school and middle school students, including many from underserved communities. About The RoleAs the National Program Coordinator, you will report directly to the National Program Director, by providing ongoing support for national and regional activities, managing national competitions, and assisting in providing resources for teachers and students. ResponsibilitiesEvents and Competitions
Coordinate and provide administrative support for programmatic events, including student competitions, conferences, and training workshops.
Track school engagement and participation in events and competitions
Collaborate with the technical support consultant to create training videos and update resource guides
Work with regional teams to create internal events calendar, event registration forms, and supporting guides for events.
Program Operations
Work with the National Program Director to implement high-quality program, services, and activities to meet VE's organizational goals
Provide program support to the VE team, program partners, teachers, and students
Identify and coordinate the implementation of best practices from across the country into the work of regional programs
Facilitate the collection and creation of templates and scoring guides for regional teams to develop a library of resources for teams to use to support their events (coordinators meeting, student conferences, student workshops, etc.)
Coordinate method of measuring program quality and manage/support the data collection process
Requirements
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently on concurrent projects
Well-organized, detailed-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet frequent and changing deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization, technical, and research skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
