Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Operational Management: Assist the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day management of Surgical Services operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
- Patient Throughput: Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient flow and ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
- Resource Utilization: Monitor and evaluate the appropriate use of clinical and financial resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Staff Development: Participate in the selection, onboarding, and evaluation of nursing staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards of practice.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret and implement hospital policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence across the department.
- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Oregon Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with progressive leadership roles
- Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field
- National Certification from the American Nurses Association (ANA) or a relevant professional organization
