About The OpportunityAs Director of ICU/PCU, you will provide strategic oversight and leadership for both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care, fostering a positive and productive work environment for your staff, and driving continuous improvement within the critical care units. This is a highly visible leadership role that demands a blend of clinical expertise, operational acumen, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the ICU and PCU, including day-to-day operations, budget management, and staff development.
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care that meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
• Recruit, hire, and retain a team of highly skilled and dedicated nurses and support staff.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
• Oversee budget development and implementation for the ICU and PCU.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in critical care medicine and implement evidence-based practices.
• Champion initiatives to improve quality, safety, and efficiency within the ICU and PCU.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a critical care setting.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience as a director in an acute care critical care unit.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of success in motivating and inspiring staff.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Budget management and financial acumen.
• Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to operational challenges.
• Passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.
