- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science (MLS) OR Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science OR Associate's degree in another discipline with documented chemistry and biology hours that satisfy CLIA requirements for high complexity testing personnel
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist (MT)
- Current BLS certification
- Medical Laboratory Scientist certification by ASCP or AMT, or HEW(MT), or equivalent certification
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests on blood, urine, tissue, and other body fluids
- Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment
- Analyze test results and interpret their clinical significance
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all laboratory procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
- May perform blood banking duties (depending on specific needs)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
