Responsibilities
- Nuclear Medicine Imaging: Perform nuclear medicine scans according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
- Patient Care: Administer radiopharmaceuticals, educate patients, and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Follow radiation safety protocols and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Collaboration: Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
- Professional Development: Maintain CNMTB/ARRT certification through continuing education.
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Experience:
- Relevant experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred.
- Certifications and Licensure:
- BLS Certification.
- CNMT Certification.
- NMTCB certification or ARRT(N) registration (required within 6 months of hire for new graduates).
- Per Diem: Days with evening, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities.
