- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various therapeutic interventions, including activities of daily living (ADL) retraining, adaptive equipment training, cognitive rehabilitation, and fall prevention strategies.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nurses, social workers, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Education and Training: Educate residents and families on enhancing independence, safety, and well-being.
- Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in Washington.
- Experience: Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice in geriatric rehabilitation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
