- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Patient and Family Education: Educate residents and their families on communication strategies, swallowing techniques, and home programs to promote continued progress.
- Education:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure:
- Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maine.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for communication and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
