Trusted Staffe is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our partner medical center in Carson, CA. In this role, you will work closely with patients, providing comprehensive physical therapy services to help them regain mobility and function, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Essential Job Duties
- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations in both the facility and patients' homes to identify their specific needs, preferences, and goals.
- Collaborative Care Planning: Actively participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings alongside the Primary Care Physician and rehabilitation team to develop holistic care plans that address the multifaceted needs of each patient.
- Personalized Therapy Interventions: Deliver and meticulously document physical therapy interventions based on physician orders and care plans. These interventions may include active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training for activities of daily living (ADLs), and various therapeutic modalities like massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity.
- Supervision & Training: Oversee Therapy Assistants, providing the necessary training, instruction, and guidance to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMPs) effectively.
- Patient and Staff Education: Educate staff, patients, and their caregivers/families on the proper use and care of therapeutic equipment.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy plus five (5) years of Physical Therapy experience. Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
- Licensure: Valid California Physical Therapy License or proof of license eligibility.
- Experience: Two (2) years of Physical Therapy experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification is preferred.
- International Degrees: If your physical therapy degree was earned outside the U.S., it must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
