Virtus Healthcare Staffing is Hiring a Physical Therapist Near Exton, PA
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a post-hospital rehabilitation center in Exton, PA to find a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated PT to play a key role in helping patients regain their functional mobility and independence after hospitalization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patients' impairments, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific needs and goals, focusing on improving strength, coordination, balance, gait, and overall functional abilities.
- Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and gait training, to achieve treatment goals.
- Educate and train patients on proper exercise techniques and self-care strategies to promote long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Document treatment progress in patients' medical records and participate in patient care conferences.
- Maintain a safe and patient-centered treatment environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on current physical therapy practices.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Valid Physical Therapy License in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in a post-hospital rehabilitation setting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to document effectively in medical records.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience treating patients with a variety of post-hospital conditions.
- Knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices.
- Proficient in manual therapy techniques.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
